April 12,2024 Malaga, Spain: We meetup with Ali (our best friend and traveling companion) in the square. We then walked around exploring and finally stopped for a late lunch across from the Roman Theater. We watched a troupe of break dancers perform. About 6-7 guys and 1 girl, they were very cool, right in the street in front of us. We brought Ali over to our rental so she could check it out and had cocktails just outside at the Picasso bar. We photographed Ali with Picasso in the square. Ali took the bus to Calahonda, where she was staying at Martin’s Place in Dona Lola. She told us that she has settled in well for an extended stay. We made plans to see her again in Marbella in a few days.
April 16, 2024 Marbella, Spain: Ali took the bus to meet us from Calahonda (Dona Lola). We met her in the park with the cool ceramic benches. We were hungry, so the three of us found a charming restaurant in the Plaza de nos Naranjos.
Ali and I went for some shopping and then drinks at a seaside bar. Later met up with Fitz. We made plans to meet Ali at her place to party and do laundry, later,Ali took off to get the bus back to Dona Lola and I found my way back to our place. Fitz had retired early to the room as he was beat.
Ali said she liked this place better than our Malaga place we stayed at, you walked right into the bedroom then from the bed was the kitchenette, table and 2 chairs, then the patio view. The terrace had a fine view.
April 17,2024 Calahonda, Spain: We took the bus to visit Ali in Calahonda. We all took a walk on the boardwalk and stopped for drinks and lunch at the Pirate bar. Then back to Martin’s place (where Ali was staying in Dona Lola) while Ali fixed us all appetizers. We threw our laundry in her washing machine and then went out drinking again, because it’s us! We even spend the night on the new couch that opens out into a huge bed, while Ali has the real bed in the living room.
I see Martin had my artwork all framed and hung in the kitchen area, it looked very nice there. Ali says he prefers his place in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea (Florida) more, so this place he hardly comes to anymore. Ali showed me the closet she has for her clothes that he gives her and she told him to cancel the cleaning lady, as she’d make sure his place was perfect, so he did, We all know Ali’s good there. He’s nice to her.
