Our Take
Ok, Montenegro is not as advanced as we had hoped. We had several misadventures even though the country has some definite plusses. First, we were supposed to be met at the airport by our rental car company, NOT. Then we had to take a taxi from the Tivat airport to the rental car location in Budva, we got ripped off by the Taxi driver he charged us 45 euros for a 10 euro trip. The Airbnb host forgot to tell us (we asked) that we had to park at the bottom of a 212 stair incline with 65 meters of slanted incline just to reach the property. which we had to traverse 2 times a day (1 up and 1 down). just to use the car.
Otherwise, the scenery and most people were very nice and welcoming. Parking was an adventure.
