July 12, 2024: Leaving Montenegro for Tirana, Albania to a “Cozy 1 Bedroom Near the center of Tirana” Booking.com apartment on the 3rd floor. Very big place. The red kitchen is my favorite room. Ardit was our taxi driver (and Barber) who took us from the bus station and brought us to where we are staying.
July 13, 2024: Went to “Rooms” restaurant for Breakfast, Ventured out in Tirana, Albania. I took photos of buildings etc. that interested me. Stopped by Cheers, an authentic Irish Pub, and Fitz had a Guinness while I had a G&T. That evening we went to “Zgara Tirones 2” for an authentic Albanian Dinner, I had a Traditional Package and Fitz had the Vegetable Package, we also had their version of Fergese (a baked dish of Peppers and Feta Cheese) Yummy.
July 14, 2024: Went to the “One” store and got an Albanian SIM Card for Nicke’s phone.
July 15, 2024: Visited an Andy Warhol museum that was near our apartment. I took pictures. He was a better artist than I remembered, more than tomato soup cans. He did a lot of Marilyn’s. Went for dinner at “Oborri” Restaurant, an outside garden restaurant and had Tapas.
July 16, 2024: Went for lunch at a high end Italian Restaurant I had Pasta with Clams and Fitz had pasta with Salmon, then that evening we walked over to “Wintergreen Cafe” for drinks.
July 17, 2024: We went out to dinner at EJA’s. I had shrimp pasta dish; Fitzy had a gnocchi with pesto dish. I really loved walking around this area. Later we stopped at Cheers, on the way home.
