Praia Des Macus, Portugal May 30 – June 1 , 2024

5/30/2024 Thursday: Travel day from Tavira, Portugal most of day by train & Uber, to Praia Des Macas. This condo is cute , very beachy. I walked around town while Fitzy took a nap. Later went for dinner around 9:00 @BARUSCO, reminds me of a sugar shack. I had cod but I took one bite & hated it, the flavor was raw like, so they took it back & I ordered a hamburger & fries. That’s what Fitzy had  & his looked good, what we couldn’t finish, we took home.

5/31/2024 Friday: Needed tp, some lotion. And a new journal book, so Fitzy gave me  20 Euros and I shopped while he read another book. Got my journaling started. Gosh we did so much already! This is really a cute town. We are like a block from the beach.

6/1/2024 Saturday: Oh, my birthday month!  Weather is a little cool, but sunny. I’m  wearing shorts cuz it’s June already, but I have a sweater on too. We took the antique train to Sintra, Portugal. Got out and walked around. Had drinks, then got back on the tram, which was so cool. Sintra was a nice town.  At our place  a cool band was playing Bob Marley music, so we had to go closer. They were young guys (Ty’s age) that were actually very good, We saw a crowd gathering and we were in the thick of it. At break the band talked to us and we proceeded to tell them they were very good. They knew we lived that era. Dinner was very nice at Restaurant Monumental on the water.  We ate inside as it was kinda  cold outside for us, I had seabass grilled with new potatoes and spinach, while Fitz had salmon, new potatoes  and spinach. We both left the cooked spinach, ate the bread with oil and the rest of the  meal. The meal was so good, that I even had raspberry cheesecake, since the cool part, was that the host  was paying for our meal since they couldn’t get the gas stove to work for us to cook pasta. We scored big, because we both had pasta for lunch. I had spaghetti Carbonaro while he had pesto pasta for lunch. (Abby did reimburse us the 42 euro by the way)
