It was a rainy day today. Walked around and got breakfast. My feet are wet and had to change socks, my sketchers too. Good I had a change of socks handy.

I went back to an artist that I spoke to before who does tile work. He etches on a 4×4  tiles and chisels to make faces, hands, figures, they were so beautiful! I told him I was an artist too and described my work, Fitz even showed him pictures. I told him I had to come back and purchase some of his work. It cost me 20 Euros to buy 2, 4×4 tiles that I loved. He even showed them put into a frame, but I said I was traveling and would take up too much space, so he took them out of the frames. Because we talked about being fellow artists he did an ever so tiny blue heart (size of a fingernail) right in front of me. He gave it to me along with a black diamond shaped tile of 2 lovers, representing Fitz and I as a couple. How sweet! He explained he carves them using this special pen from Japan to highlight the area. I took a couple pictures of him working and a pix of his website name and logo. I asked him to sign my pieces too. We even hugged, I was so thrilled. Very nice encounter. He told me he was Berber. I said  “Like a gypsy?”, “A Bedouin:, he said.

People keep asking us how we like their city, the Blue City. I said I love the Blue City of Chefchaouen, people are so friendly, kind. While I talked to the artist a little boy around 8-9 came and brought him a tagine filled with steamed vegetables. When I asked him was that his son, he said no, just one of the kids from the building. See what I mean about kindness. I went out taking more Chefchaouen  photos because the place is so beautifully interesting.

We went out for dinner and drinks at the ONLY place that served alcohol. Gin and tonic they can make, otherwise nothing too complicated, but they played Latin music though! I had chicken skewers and Fitz had a sardine tagine thing. He took a break from his pesto.

Back at the room my head hit the pillow an I was asleep. Unfortunately, didn’t last long because I kept getting up.
