Today we took a Grand Taxi, to get from Tangier to Chefchaouen, Morocco. I looked at my photos, cropped and read the news during the 2 hour ride.
Our Riad is tiny but exudes charm and quaintness. We checked out the roof terrace and found 2 hookahs in a pillowed room with outside plants and the greatest viewpoint. The mosque in the distance was a 20 min. walk, for the best sunset, but when we saw it, we laughed , the host really had an imagination (at least a 40 minute hike uphill).
This is truly a blue city! A couple of my pictures were so saturated that they hurt my eyes. Kidding aside, the place is magical and now I know why Gordon & Hascia (some of our oldest friends) loved it so.
We ate dinner at Gilato Restaurant which came recommended. We both had pasta dishes. My dish was kinda rich and upset my stomach, a 4 cheese pasta. Fitz had pesto pasta again.
