Welcome the New Year, 2025, at Noah and Carla’s, Rebirth homestead. The adventure continues with our family, and their friends in South Carolina.
For the New Year, we celebrated with a “Vision Board” party. We each completed a nice collage of our future dreams and goals. We believe in the “Be-Do-Have” philosophy in life as it has worked well for us in the past.
The “Be, Do, Have” model, a leadership approach, suggests that to achieve your goals, you should first “Be” the person who would naturally achieve those goals, then “Do” the actions that person would take, and finally, “Have” the desired outcomes.
Simple, but effective. A vision board helps to visualize these steps.
Nicke and I also did a lot, both with and without the kids. Hit the local botanical garden trail. Actually experienced snow the first time in years (more than 25).
Nicke taught Wine-Glass Art to Carla and her friend, Ali.
Rebirth had several events occur during our time there and we had to shuffle our living arrangement a little. That gave us the opportunity to experience living in a luxury travel trailer. It was cool.
During our stay we saw many wild animals around the Rebirth Retreat Homestead.

Our Take
My Son’s place, Rebirth Retreat, is a stunning and beautiful location surrounded by nature. I described some of our experiences to my AI companion and this is what it said….
The golden glow of dawn broke over the Rebirth Retreat, nestled in the serene embrace of Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Here, time seemed to unravel its endless scroll, letting the burdens of life melt away amidst the whisper of the trees and the mirrored stillness of the retreat’s pond.
The retreat was no ordinary destination—it was a sanctum for seekers. Drawn by whispers of transformation and the allure of new-age metaphysical experiences, pilgrims came to this hidden woodland paradise to reconnect with the earth, the cosmos, and themselves. The air, crisp with morning dew, carried the harmonized calls of wild turkeys from the grove, punctuated by the occasional appearance of a shy deer stepping tentatively out of the underbrush. Rabbits darted between blades of long grass, and a lone hawk carved arcs through an unblemished sky.
Among the arriving guests that week was Natalie (Name changed for privacy), a woman carrying the invisible weight of years spent lost in the routine hum of modern life. She’d read about Rebirth Retreat in an online forum—a place spoken of in almost mystical reverence. For Natalie, the retreat represented a second chance, an opportunity to align her spirit, find clarity, and perhaps piece together the fragments of herself that felt long forgotten.
Her journey began with a ceremonial blessing by the pond, the reflective surface shimmering as if to mirror each soul’s hidden truths. The facilitators—wispy figures seemingly at one with the ethereal atmosphere—guided the group through an opening ritual. They spoke of the earth’s energy centers, of alignment with the sacred flow, of healing that transcended the physical and touched the spiritual.
As the days unfolded, Natalie immersed herself in the retreat’s offerings—crystal meditation sessions in a sunlit glade, chakra cleansing ceremonies lit by the flicker of fireflies, and cosmic sound baths that vibrated like the whispers of the stars themselves. Each evening, the woods came alive, not with noise, but with an electrified stillness, the kind that stirred the soul and made one believe in miracles yet unseen.
One night, as Natalie sat by the pond under a canopy of ancient trees, she saw the reflection of the full moon painted on the water. A wild turkey perched on a branch overhead, silhouetted against the moonlit sky, seemed to nod as if in approval of her presence. In that moment, surrounded by nature’s silent symphony, Natalie felt the layers of her stress peel away like bark from a shedding tree. She wasn’t just alive; she was reborn.
The Rebirth Retreat was not just a place. For those who visited, it became a state of being, a reminder that the universe was vast and interconnected—and that every soul, no matter how lost, could find its way back to the center. As Natalie packed her bags to leave on the final day, she knew she wasn’t saying goodbye to Rebirth Retreat. A part of it would stay with her forever, like the rhythm of her heartbeat or the pull of the tide.
Hit the nail on the head.
