We dropped off the rental car and travelled by rail to Salerno, where we took a long and winding ride to our B&B in Maiori, on the Amalfi coast. we only had a few days in the Amalfi region and will have to return to see the stuff we missed, but we still enjoyed our time.
We the flew from Salerno to Milan and then on to Faro Portugal where we continued our trip.

Our Take
Our stay in the Amalfi Coast (Maiori), Italy was wonderful, but too short. I made a mistake with dates for our booking and cheated us out of a day. So, that just means we have to go back sometime in the future to “finish up” the Amalfi Coast. We did stay in Maiori, and took the ferry one day to Amalfi, and second day to Positano. We also went to Ravello on a bus, a harrowing experience. Careful, the ferry’s ONLY sail in good weather, so you can’t count on them 100% for transportation.
