Sutomore, Jaz, Tivat, Petrovac Montenegro, July 2-8 2024

July 2, 2024: Today it was a rainy day so we stayed in until early evening when we went down to the beach and saw Spiderman (who spoke Albanian, I didn’t know that) and had some pizza along the boardwalk.

July 3, 2024: Went to Budva and renegotiated our car rental, then went to lunch on Jaz beach at a really fine restaurant. I had pasta with shrimp and Fitz had gnocci with pesto. The service at the Poseidon Restaurant was first class and right above an exclusive beach club.  The drinks were perfect. 

July 4, 2024: Went down to the beachfront later in the afternoon and had some drinks.

July 5, 2024: Drove to Tirana to check out the city park, it wasn’t that great and then we tried to check the park at Port Montenegro, but it was too snooty for us (Like Palm Beach, Florida), so on our way back we stopped at Petrovac and were pleasantly surprised at the whole town and beach area, it was a little upscale and not too touristy, but had really good beach bars and restaurants.  I had a Peperoni pizza with veggies (including corn) yum, and Fitz had a grilled tuna sandwich that he said was one of the best he had ever had. A lot of the customers of the restaurant just undressed there and went into the water, as it was at the edge of a beach club. A great way to enjoy the beach.

July 6, 2024: We went down to the beach in Sutomore again to have a cocktail or 2 and Fitz stayed and smoked a hookah, but I went back up to our place, because I felt a little under the weather. Fitz had to leave the car parked at the beach because I had taken the keys to get back into the apartment.

July 7, 2024: We walked into the town and down to the beach to retrieve the car we had left the previous day. It was a long hot trip. We had a Pizza and a Caesar salad, then we had drinks under our favorite treed spot along the beach overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

July 8, 2024: Wash Day, again. I watched a whole series of TV about a family with the usual upsets, while Fitz went to bead early,
