Friday 05/24/2024: Today we just hung out at our place until midday then went out for drinks. We each had a smoothie of berries. We walked around town and then went back home, Fitz took a nap. Dinner was much later at Mira Restaurant, they had very cool food. Started with a goat cheese appetizer, then I had a salad dish and Fitz had an Octopus dish with sweet potato chips, it cost about €40. Later we went for drinks at Arcada, but had to sit inside since the mosquitoes were pretty bad. Then we headed back to our place after dark.
Saturday 05/25/2024: We took the ferry to the beach at Pavilhao Da Ilha and spent the day in recliners on the beach in a covered awning. Quite relaxing, I did sudoku, then walked the beach snapping pix. I made us tuna sandwiches, we bought chips and had a picnic at the beach. I had a mojito while Fitz had a beer.
Sunday 05/26/2024: Lazy day today. Fitz got our website up to date, and it really looks nice. I don’t even think we ventured outside, ate leftovers for dinner.
Monday 05/27/2024: Stayed in late, but had lunch at this cute place outside restaurant Tasquinha da Paula. The owners, Luis and Paula, were so nice. They came out and talked to us, we gave them our bracelets. So they had a neighbor take a group pix all of us. I had the roasted pork with rice and potatoes while Fitz had fish with rice and a beer. They want us to send them a postcard from Miami for their postcard wall!!!
Tuesday 05/28/2024: Today while Fitz worked, I walked around town and took pix of cute fronts of houses with lots of plants. That night we both were hungry for pizza, I had pepperoni, while Fitz had a tuna, anchovies and olive pizza.
Wednesday 05/29/2024: Fitz worked on the website while I packed up my stuff, since this was our last night in Tavira. Ate our lunch, outside, at A de Marta. We met Kim and Steve who were from Palm Bay, Florida (figure?), They had taken the train from Faro to check out Tavira, but were heading to Lisbon the next day. We will be heading there soon.
